A Birthday Gift

A very dear friend and second mom has a birthday this week! I love that it is so close to Halloween and we always make her a Halloween themed card! The problem always comes to what gift to send.  She sends cards to all of us for EVERY holiday! She is in her later life and recently has had some health concerns that are giving her a little less energy to do things. Luckily when I spoke with her a couple of weeks back she told me she would love if I would send her some cards to put together. She even told me what kind she wanted!!!   I was so relieved! She wanted the one we call a 5 step card. We cut the bases and a coordinating paper and she can use it for any occasion she wants!

She called me this afternoon and said she got a package and was jumping up and down, even though she can’t anymore! I’m so glad she liked it and I really get excited when I get feedback!

Butterfly Card Kit

This fun kit is all about the butterflies! We have just 2 sets that are ready to be put together! It’s the perfect opportunity to have some girl time with your BFF! There are 8 cards with envelopes and all the goodies you need to make them! You can schedule a time to come to us and put them together or just get together at your house!

We can hold a class at our location for you to come and make up the kit.  Price is $16 plus tax.  You need to bring your own adhesives (tape runner, pop ups, glue dots, and liquid glue)

If you would would like me to make you up a set, the price will be $20 plus tax (additional shipping charges if you need it shipped)

Card Kits

We know some of you are card makers and some of you would like to be. Well here’s a kit that will make it fast and easy to make up10 cards very quickly! All materials (except adhesives)  come in the kit and if you need help we are ready to walk you through it! Or maybe you need a girls night out with your friends and want to come here and make them!  Price is $20 plus tax

Shaker Card Kit

I saw this card kit at one of my favorite stores and decided to get a couple to put together. I bought several different ones so we will talk about the others later.

This one was a shaker card, meaning you put glitter or something small behind a piece of acetate. Everything was included in the kit to make 6 cards, 2 of each design.

I should tell you that I have never made a shaker card. I know how to but haven’t really ever made one.  I didn’t think about how much of the glitter/confetti to put in. The directions didn’t say.  I saw that the kit comes with 6 cards and 2 packs of confetti, so a third of the pack of glitter per card?

Well, those of you with experience making these will know that it was way too much!!! I didn’t really get it right until about halfway through.

My next mishap was the aligning. They had all the adhesive already so I just peeled and lined up the card front. Well, I guess I’m not too good at that either!!! They are all off at least a little! Then at least one side is sticky. My solution was of course good old baby powder!

It has its own adhesive for the cover.
Using baby powder to cover the adhesive overhang.



I’m posting this to tell you all that no one gets it right the first time and that’s ok!!! If you get a card from me and you can’t read the sentiment because of too much bling in the shaker card, know that I love you so much that I wanted you to have a BIG, BIG party!!!!
