A Little More Christmas

We found this cute tassel tree kit t a local store and thought we could do that! We added some paper to the background and a star to make it a little more festive! Then we decided to make our own! We are going to redesign it smaller for next year so that we can make ornaments! These two we gave as gifts this year! Hope you like them!

Christmas Gifts

We had so much fun making gnome ornaments that we decided to do them for our friends and neighbors! Turquoise and purple were the chosen colors this year!

We made some little wood ornaments as well!

If you were one of our friends or neighbors that received them, we hope you enjoy them!

Thanks for stopping by our blog!

December Bulletin Board

Well it is the last bulletin board of this year!

We found these nice signs last year after Christmas. We weren’t exactly sure what we were going to do with them. They were going to be on a white background and were white so, we painted a small border around them. We found some flowers at our local discount store. And with just a little messing we had two ready to go up!

The lettering needed to be special too! We love how the gold is carried throughout!

And now it is up on the bulletin board

Thanks for coming to the website and supporting us all year!

Not finding what you need?

Sometimes you have an idea and just can’t find that one element to complete it.  That was the case with this fun gnome garland we wanted to make. We could find wooden red beads and white beads but no green beads. And we found that if you are trying to buy a large quantity locally they can be very expensive.

So here is our tip, buy wooden bead garland and take it apart! The cost is so much better and you get a lot more beads! That being said, we found black, grey, white and red but nothing this year had green.  So we bought the natural wood garland and painted it! This was the first time we have done this so it took a little experimenting to get the paint/water mixture the right consistency, but we did it!

We just used a sandwich bag to mix the paint and water in, rolled a couple of beads in it at a time, took them out on a toothpick and set them to dry on portion cups! You need to check them so they don’t get a glob of paint on the bottom and rotate them on the toothpick so they don’t stick to it.

We think the garland turned out darling!

And yes you can buy this or order your own custom colors! $25.00+tax
