More Birthday Cards

This month we had a couple of birthdays in our family. With the newest thing being the edge shaped cards we decided to try that.

Some of these cards only shape the front layer of the card but we liked both the front and the back of the card shaped.

There are two different ways to do them and we used one for each card. We used bears on both, guess that was the theme!

The first one we did as we have before with just the shape and cutting and moving things.

The second one we used the offset feature in Cricut Design Space.

They were both fun to do and I think they came out cute!   We will definitely be doing these more!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

New Shirt

Last year for Mother’s Day we made matching shirts for the girls and their girls. Well the smallest granddaughter out grew hers.  And we taught the second Cricut Class that teaches using iron on. So our project was a new giraffe shirt! We know she will outgrow this one as well! Good thing we know how to make it again and again!

Thanks for stopping by to see what we are up to!!!

90th Birthday Card for a Co-worker’s Neighbor

This is Steve.  I like to make cards too.

Last year, I reached out to co-workers at work to send my father a birthday card.  I waited too long to ask.  It was his 99th birthday.  He received about 35 birthday cards.  Never in his life had he received so many birthday cards.

Last month a co-worker reached out for a neighbor who is turning 90 this upcoming weekend.  I wanted to try something new so I found a new design on the internet.

This is a simple cart.  It is a bi-fold card.  with a couple of layers on the front.

Laying flat it looks like this.

Here you see how the front is angled.

Mother’s Day Cards

With Mother’s Day coming up we had the opportunity to make some cards for the mothers in our lives!

We decided to go with a modified box card for them all, but think they all turned out unique!  We used either paper or silk flowers for them all. We usually put the inserts in the box at the top, middle and bottom.  This time we changed that and on the last one you  can see that the inserts actually stick up higher than the box edge!

This is where the inserts stick above the top of the box.

These didn’t fit in the normal envelope but we put them in a 6×9.

Let me show you and your friends how to make these fun box cards! Schedule your girls night out today!!!
