Penguins, Penguins, Penguins!

Sorry we didn’t post last week. We are up to our eyeballs in making penguin kits!

We have been trying to get the kits ready for our class at our church. We are having everyone make a set of penguins! We need 30 kits.  The hardest thing was finding ribbons. We just can’t find 3/8″ ribbon that has more than one color.

Anyway, today we are going to tell you how we did the yarn for the hats. As we started to cut the yarn we found that wrapping it around a piece of cardboard wasn’t working so I asked Steve if he could cut a board that would work. He did and it helped it to go so much faster! Considering that we needed about 60 piece per kit. We still had a little trouble when it came to cutting the yarn. Then Steve had the bright idea to use a bag clip to hold the yarn in place while we cut it. He ordered an extra large one and surprised me with it! It worked great! And now all the yarn and ribbon kits are ready, just have to cut all the wood pieces! Here are some photos of our solution!
