Gnomes for all seasons

Over a year ago, we started with an idea. We wanted to create some decoration that could be up all year long. So now that we have made up a few, we wanted to show you. Gnomes with interchangeable hats. . Hats are a limited supply. It really depends on what material we can find and how much material we buy at the time.

This handcrafted, wall hanging gnome with interchangeable hats will add whimsy to any home! It is made on a sturdy metal frame so it hangs well.  It can be used throughout the year for the holidays, events, or seasons! It measures approximately 12”x 23”.

The hats are interchangeable. Use a different hat for each holiday or Season.

The beards can be this gray/white, white coarse, or white fine. You can purchase additional hats.

June Bulletin Board

This year we thought to change June up a little.  Normally we would do something for Father’s day.  We went another direction,

We started with a wire wreath.  Wrapped in burlap.

Next we added some flowers and some greenery.

We wanted to put some fun ducks at the bottom.

Add some cute lettering for the month of June

Put them up with the actual calendar.

May Bulletin Board

May always has Mother’s Day.  So how to decorate the bulletin Board for May?  Something with mothers in it.

Took a couple of wooden picture frames and painted them white.  Then put some floral foam around the edges so I could put some pretty flowers around the frames.

I found some pictures of mothers with their children to put in the frames.

Made new letters to match the colors.

This is how it looks on the actual bulletin board,

Thanks for stopping by!!

Ariel Birthday Shirts

So our granddaughter in Utah called us and asked us to make her a turquoise, Ariel, 6th birthday princess shirt! How could we say no?!!!

We bought the first shirt in the wrong size so instead of taking it back we decided to make one without the lettering.  It is fairly easy to layer the HTV but here are a few pictures of the process.

And then the card needed to match of course!!!

We hope that our birthday girl likes them!

Thanks for stopping by!!

April Bulletin Board – Easter/Christ

For the April bulletin board we went with the Easter/Christ theme.

From our decorations we came up with these colors for the title.

We started with some 5×7 canvases and painted them with a festive pink background.  We used a matching paper for the background and put lettering to convey our message.

For the Risen, we used popups to make it stand away from the canvas.

Here it is, all together.  We think it turned out cute!!!

Thanks for reading our blog!

We have brought in a new (to us) product from Foundation Decor.

It is the Magnetic Calendar. It is like the Shadowboxes where everything is attached with magnets.

It has some special things for the holidays.

We are including the paper pack with the calendar!

There are a lot more pieces to this that we are working on having ready soon!!!

Designing things for Apple Wagon

Recently we met the owner of a local Antique Mall.  She has more things than just antiques.  So she got in some scrapbook/card making supplies.  We kind of volunteered to help her by make some examples.

The things she got are very random and don’t really go together too well, but those of you that know me know that is right up my alley! It will take me several weeks to make examples of it all but here is some of the first batch!

Cards

The owner has been very positive and so supportive! It’s fun to create something from such random pieces! If you live here in Missouri you should check out what she has because her prices are really great! And be sure to check back here for more examples of things you can make with them!

Ribbon Wreath

I saw these ribbons at my local store and loved the bird one but had no idea what I would do with them! I bought a couple of each to have just in case.

I had a small wreath frame and decided to see what they looked like tied on that. It took way more ribbon than I thought and I had to go find more ribbon!

Then finding coordinating for the bow and some pine cones finished the project off! I really love how it turned out!

The cost for this is $20 + sales tax
